Privacy & Cookie Policy

I collect and process both personal and health‑related information that you provide when booking an appointment or completing your consultation form.  

Personal data:

• Name, mobile number, email address, postal address in some circumstances, birth date, and next of kin contact number. These are all required so I can contact you and provide the best possible service.  
  
   

Health Related Data:

• All clients must complete a consultation form or health waiver before treatment. This records your relevant health and medical history, which enables me to provide safe and suitable care. It is also a condition of my insurance policy to take and retain clients records. I have a legitimate interest in this data.

• Treatment Records include:  notes from consultations and assessments, details of treatments received, and how you felt or responded to treatment. These records are kept securely for at least seven years after your last treatment, as required by my insurance. After that period, all records are destroyed securely, either by shredding paper files or permanently deleting digital records. In rare cases, your data may need to be shared with authorised legal, regulatory or insurance bodies if required by law or for professional compliance.
   

Automatically Collected Data:  
I also collect some information automatically, information about you and your use of our website, your interactions with us and our advertising, as well as information regarding your computer or other devices you might use to access our website, information on your recent visits to our website and how you move around different sections of our website.

This type of data is collected and processed when you: 

• Voluntarily complete a customer survey or contact us through our contact forms or via email (via Wix Forms).

• Use our view our website via your browser’s cookies (via Google Analytics and WIX Cookies)

I collect your data so that I can:

• Respond to any questions or queries sent to us via the contact form.

• Understand how people use the website so that I can make it more intuitive.

• If you sign up to the Newsletter, I will email you with offers or events that I think you might be interested in via WIX.
   

I collect health-related data in order to decide whether we can proceed with the treatment, and / or conduct an effective and safe treatment. Treatment will not go ahead unless I collect and store these details. 

If your data is stored on paper, it will be stored securely in a locked filing cabinet. Digital information will be stored on a password protected electronic device, and in my Zoho Mail address books. Your website usage data is stored anonymously via Google Analytics. The contact information you provide us through our Contact Forms is stored securely by Wix.

The data will be kept secure and safeguarded as far as reasonably possible. 

You have the following rights under UK data protection law:  
The right to access - You have the right to request Artemisia Holistic Therapies for copies of your personal data. 

The right to rectification - You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request us to complete information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure - You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions. 

The right to restrict processing - You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. 

The right to object to processing - You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. 

The right to data portability - You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
